HERE ARE SOME OF THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WE GET ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

Who are we and why choose us?

We love landscapes and we create carefully designed workshops taking a small number of participants to some truly breath-taking places around the world. Using our in-depth knowledge of these beautiful locations our aim is to give you every opportunity to get great photographs while improving your technique through expert tuition in the field, as well as in post processing sessions which help you get the most out of your images.

You'll get to all the right places at the right time with ample time to photograph each location. Often, we spent many days shooting at each location and learnt many lessons along the way on where the best places are to shoot at the best times. Our itinerary is very carefully planned to have you get the very best photographs from your landscape photography workshop. We will maximize your time so that you see the best that the region has to offer in the precious time you’ve taken to join us. If you were to do this on your own, it would take several weeks to find the best locations at the best times of day.

What is the difference between a photography workshop and a tour?

When booking a workshop, always make sure you understand what the course is about. What is it that is taught? Is it basic camera techniques, post-processing techniques like Lightroom or Photoshop?  Is it a workshop or a tour? Most of our courses are photography workshops - we find that most participants want to photograph, particularly at locations that are hard to get to. We maximize your time by photographing as much as possible at the BEST locations at the BEST times of day.

This is where we will spend plenty of one-on-one time with you to teach you more about your camera to get the best results possible, as well as critiquing your images ON THE SPOT to give you immediate feedback on how to improve your photography.

We have extensive experience in post-production workflows and techniques using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

What’s included in the workshop price?

All transportation, lodging, and meals are included for most workshops. All of the information you need for any specific workshop or expedition should be on the individual webpage, and you are always welcome to contact us if you have further questions. Also, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

What’s not included?

Not included are any airfares, airport taxes, transportation to and from the meeting point, or items of a personal nature. Price also excludes any insurance coverage for trip cancellation/interruption, travel accident, travel delay, baggage delay or baggage theft, medical or hospitalization expenses.

What can I expect to learn?

You'll learn more about capturing the best light, composing landscape images, and processing them to look the very best using Lightroom and Photoshop.

Do I need a laptop?

We would encourage you to do so. Our workshops always include some time to sit and download your photographs so you can see what you've captured. We also run Lightroom tutorials to help improve your skills and have you get the very best from your images.

How many participants are on your workshops?

Our workshops are limited to just 4 to 8 participants only, which gives us plenty of time with everyone in the field and from the beginning of your time with us we can identify your photographic level and what you’d like to focus on.

Is it physically challenging?

Some workshops can be physically demanding – refer to each workshop's itinerary and ‘physical activity’ level to determine your suitability.

Our workshops may be taken by anyone in good physical condition. As you will have to go up and down stairways, walk over irregular terrain, and carry equipment, you are encouraged to get in shape by exercising regularly. Please contact us if you have any questions about your ability to do a particular trip. Once a trip has started and it is necessary for you to leave the trip because it is beyond your physical level, please note that there will be no refunds for any unused portion of the trip.

How experienced do I need to be?

Not at all, to be honest. The reason you come to a workshop like this is to learn and grow as a photographer, so we'd expect you not to know everything! However, some knowledge of photography is a bonus.

What if the weather is bad?

We don’t claim to have any control over the weather, but we’ll do our best to ensure that you have a great time, no matter the conditions. Bad weather often brings great shooting opportunities, and we feel there’s always something to shoot! Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Can I bring my partner?

Yes, of course. They are more than welcome. However, because they are taking the place of a participant, they pay the same workshop fee.

Can I arrive a day or two before the workshop starts?

Yes of course! Let us know your plans and we'll book accommodation at the same hotel for you.

What if I can’t make it, what’s your refund policy?

No one wants to miss out on a trip of a life time… but things do happen. In those situations, We strongly recommend you to get Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance after booking your trip. If you cannot make it and your place is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a $250 service charge. If your place on the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the below schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:

• 90 days or more: Full refund minus a $250 cancelation fee
• 60 - 89 days: 50% refund
• Less than 60 days: No refund

Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Insurance is always recommended. We have partnered with an insurance agency that allows you to compare policies from various providers and choose the most suitable one for your needs.

Is my personal information secure?

We promise never to sell or give away your email address or other information we have of yours. We will never, ever spam you. We never have access to your credit card information.

What about communications before and during the workshop?

In addition to email, your workshop leader will contact you sometime within the 60 days before the workshop to get you fully prepared and ready. We use WhatsApp during the weeks leading up to the workshop, and during the workshop, this is the best and quickest way to get info out to the group and for you to ask questions and get answers fast.
